ATG Recommendations Renderers

The next generation ATG Recommendations API provides a marked improvement to all aspects of recommendations. One of our most powerful improvements is our recommendation rendering. Recommendations are converted into HTML by JavaScript right inside the client’s browser by a Renderer. We provides a library of basic and advanced Renderers. Just pick the one that works best for your site.

Basic Renderers:

• Tiles Renderer (default)
• List Renderer

Advanced Renderers:

• Wiper Renderer
• Rollover Renderer
• Scroller Renderer

Custom Renderer Development

The ATG Recommendations renderer library is diverse and highly configurable, but it may not meet the needs of every customer. For that reason, ATG Recommendations provides documentation and tools to help customers develop their own renderers.

There is also documentation on the writing of recommendation builders, which may be used to customize the display of recommendations while still leveraging the power of existing renderers.
